Introduction Concept 2000XP

Concept 2000Xp is an Intelligent Home and Building Automation System. Concept 2000Xp is the successor of the light systems: Concept 2000 (1995-today) and HMS-2000 (1980-1995). The modules of Concept 2000Xp are backwards-compatible with the modules of both systems.

Concept 2000Xp has two data communication lines that enables each module to send and receive information. This makes control and monitoring via Touch Screen, Smart Phone, Tablet or PC possible.

The ConTool software is delivered alongside the Concept 2000Xp system. ConTool is used for designing, programming and setting up the Concept 2000Xp installation. Via Ethernet Gateway module XP130, each relay and dimmer is programmed. This makes the modules intelligent and they can thereby operate autonomously. Many similar systems on the market rely on just one control unit, and the Concept2000XP is therefore a safe and very reliable choice for a future owner of a Home and Building Automation System.

Each module in the fusebox is connected via the Conbus. The Conbus consists of two 24V power cables and two x data cables. The Consonbus is similar to the Conbus and connects the sensor modules (e.g. the push buttons) to the actors (e.g. relays and dimmers). It is now possible to connect the sensor modules in series, and thereby save significant cabling costs compared to the earlier systems.

The Concept 2000Xp system also consists of a number of accessories such as push buttons, bus interfaces, bus cables and remote control devices. Details about these can be found under "Accessories".

XP130: Ethernet gateway

CONSON CONCEPT 2000XP - XP130: Ethernet gateway
The XP130 Ethernet Gateway module links the Concept 2000XP system to an external network such as the Internet or an ethernet. This interface provides an IP address to the installation. When the ConTool software is installed on a PC it is easy to program the installation via XP130. An alternative is to program the system with the Conbeam XP78. The XP78 can be found on the Accessories list. A Concept2000XP system with an XP130 can also be controlled and monitored from the Internet or an Ethernet.
